Roger wrote. He is referring to the videos by the Diamonds
that I included in the last email.
Nice to remember a bit of the past for a change. That was special!
So many great memories came back when I listened to the
Diamonds after all these years. I remember dancing to their music
at the after game dances in the SHS student lounge. Nice to
momentarily escape from constant worry and all the problems that go
along with managing our "one stump" ranch. The livestock seem to
consume every moment of my life. Hoping to get rid of the cattle
and retire, but I'd probably end up a couch potato, watching TV
under in a pile of empty beer cans. I keep saying that, but
will hang in there for another 5-10 years, health permitting. ---Huhmmmm?
We have a Rowe AMI juke box full of old Western 45's. Maybe will
have to take out a couple of of George Jones and Tammy Wynett's 45's
and squeeze in a couple of the Diamonds 45's if there still are any
around------------Is that a life change???????

Kathy writes "In July 2009 I retired from my fulltime
job and went to work part time (4 hr days 4 days per week)
in October. I enjoy keeping busy.
We now have seven grandchildren, 7 to 19. One grandson
and six granddaughters.
Since my last update my Dad died but my mother is doing
well. My mother-in-law died in October 2009 at the age of
104. She was a wonderful lady. I was blessed to have her
for a mother-in-law.
We still live in Central Point and continue to be active
in our church there." 2-5-10

Good Morning All,
Thought you might like to see the snow on the mountains around
Tucson. The snow level yesterday was 3800 feet, and we are at 3350
where I live. Yesterday (1-23-10) I worked up in the foothills on
security for Pima Canyon Estates, and the snow was only about 100
feet above us, and they said that there were some scattered bits of
it in there housing area. That area is on the west end of the
Catalina Mountains, and it was sure beautiful yesterday. Sorry I did
not have the camera with me, so took these this morning, still
beautiful. Heard they were skiing on Mt Lemmon yesterday and today.
I had frost on the truck when I got up this morning, and it is still
only 50 degrees out right now at 12:42 mountain standard time. Hope
you enjoy,
Rich

This is to let you all know that we will be having our desert
party again this year. Same timing as in the past ( last weekend in
February). Arrive anytime 26,27,28. Friday we will have pot luck
to go with prime rib. Saturday will be a Mexican pot luck . Sunday
pancake breakfast prior to departure.
This year we would like every one to bring a horse. Just a little
one - hand made and about the size of a toilet paper core. It can
be made out of anything your heart desires but the only requirement
is - It has to stand on 4 legs. Any questions?
Come enjoy the sun.

Mike writes "I would like to let our classmates know that my
mother, Jane Roark East passed away on January 19, 2010 at
the age of 95 years old. My mother always felt close to the
class of 61 and 62 as she spent a lot of time running us all
over the place (local taxi) when we were younger and she
always loved everyone in the class.
She was living in San Mateo, CA close to my sister Pat for
the past 8 years.
She had suffered a stroke and was in an assisted living
facility for several years.
Mother was a reader and the local library had recorded over
1600 books read from the library not to mention what other
people brought her.
