Just a note to say we made it home and still trying to get over
jet leg. Having a hard time going from 90-105 degrees to this
cold rain and wind.
These are pictures from Dubai. Reminds me of New York City,
only the buildings are much newer and I think all the
builders tried to do a different design so all kinds of
designs for buildings. These are pictures of the tallest
building, the hotel that is shaped like a sail, the Atlantis
hotel at the tip of the trunk of the palm tree islands with
the 5 suites on the bridge between the buildings going for
$25,000 a night. Out of our budget so didn't stay there.
Will be leaving for warmer weather next Tuesday. Probably
be in Wellton, Az. the week after Thanksgiving.

Bob and I just got back from spending a couple of days in
Tombstone and Bisbee. Tombstone is quite commercial, but the
buildings are quite old and not sullied by remodeling. Bisbee is
a great shopping area. A real variety of shops. The town is
built on hillsides around what is called the Tombstone Canyon.
Having Chinese dinner a China View in Green Valley with Jan
and Steve Hinrichs and Sharon and Eric Skinner tonight. We are
all having Thanksgiving dinner together tomorrow and I
understand the Pederson's will also be there. Green Valley is a
great gathering place for our class mates. We need more of our
classmates to check out this area. It is fantastic and the
housing prices have not yet begun to climb back up. Where we are
in Pueblo Estates, you can buy a manufactured home on it's own
lot for under $100 (she must mean 100,000) and the homeowners
dues are only $45 a month. That includes garbage, RV parking and
all the clubhouse activities (pool, spa, exercise room, pool
tables, shuffleboard, library, ceramics, etc).
Bob and Steve have joined the hiking club and Bob and I are
both playing on the golf leagues. Never a dull moment unless you
want one. Lots of neat people in this park, from all over the
U.S. and Canada. I didn't think I would last this long away from
home, but so far so good. Better get ready to go to dinner.
